This program has been designed to know the main tourist attractions of Cusco. We will find a combination of Inka architecture, with the most beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. Day 1

A.M. Transfer from the airport to the chosen hotel.

From 1:30 to 6 pm. Visit to the Inka Temple of the Sun "Qoricancha", and archaeological sites near the city (Saqsaywaman, Qenko, Pukapukara, Tambomachay).

 

Day 2

Sacred Valley of the Inkas

8:30 am. We pass by your accommodation to start the excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. We visit the archaeological sites of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. After the visit, you will approach the train station to wait for the train that will take you to the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes). Once in Machupicchu, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 3

Machupicchu by Train
At 8 am. You will approach the bus stop, to go up to the Archaeological Park of Machupicchu (25 min.), where you will have the guided tour in the Inka city, visiting the main places (2 hrs approx.). Then you will have free time to have lunch, and visit the craft fair, until the time that you must approach the town's train station to return by train to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting for you to transfer you to the city of Cusco (final stop near main square).

Day 4

Rainbow Mountain “Vinicunca”
We pick you up at your hotel between 4:30 and 5 am, to start the trip on our tourist bus to the town of Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. Then we continue until we reach Phuluwasipata at 9 am, to start the trek to the Rainbow Mountain "Vinicunca" (1:30 hrs one way, and 1 hrs return). At the viewpoint we will spend a while enjoying the place and the landscape with snowy mountains that surrounds us, where you can see the Ausangate Mountain, the highest in the region 20944ft / 6,384m. On the way back we will make a stop for lunch and then continue to the city of Cusco, where we arrive at approximately 6pm. Our final stop is near the main square.

Day 5

Cusco - Lima
Free day, until the scheduled time for your transfer to the airport. End of our services.

WHAT NOT TO BRING?

  • Professional camera, tripods and canes are not allowed in archaeological sites. Permits for professional cameras are obtained in advance at the Culture office.
  • You cannot enter to Machu Picchu with your travel backpack. Only smaller models.
  • Canes are not allowed unless the person needs them (without spikes).
  • Only small folding umbrellas are allowed, so avoid carrying a large umbrella with spikes.
